The fans would have been delighted with HiFi’s album if they had marketed it as “Pre Idol” … but they tried to make it seem like this was his first big “Post Idol” album. It was the devious nature of their publicity that upset the fans.

I wrote the above before the broadcast finished. It was clear that the participants didn’t “get” what the issues were. Adam is aware that his pre-idol stuff is all over the Internet, and I don’t think he would mind a legal “cash in” on that music IF IT WAS MARKETED AS SUCH. But HiFi tried to make their album sound like it was new material … Adam was alarmed, and had every right to be, that people would think that was his new work when it really isn’t. Come on, HiFi, market your stuff appropriately as pre-Idol work, and I guarantee Adam’s fans will lap it up the same as they are devouring all the You Tube stuff.

HiFi seem to be bottom dwellers. Those recordings were not the creative works of Adam, he only lent his voice. If HiFi was so into Adam as they claim, they would have not taken three years to decide to release the songs. They would have worked with him sooner in producing a worthy album.

As to the whole handling of this debacle of HiFi wanting to release Adam Lambert’s pre-Idol music and their sleazy way of cashing in on him, don’t you think with this broadcast you are giving them some type of legitimacy. They were trying to fool the American public with their unethical marketing of their product. This pre-Idol material appears to be a rush job and not a well polished finished product. Now that Adam Lambert has been introduced to the American public, they only see the bottom line of the almighty dollar. If there publicity and press/media releases were up front on stating what type of recording these are and when they were made they wouldn’t have a mess on their hands with Adam’s fans. There are other Idols who have had pre-Idol music released after getting some national recognition from the show and their fans bought it with no problem because it was released with the right type of publicity. HiFi is trying to make it appear that they were going to release his music no matter what and I get the impression that is not the case. They were trying to beat 19 Entertainment/Sony to the punch regarding music from Adam Lambert.

I agree with Glambert #3477. Don’t think for ONE minute that those HiFi sleazebags are going to capitalize off of this. It is WAY TOO coincidental that they released the single JUST prior to 19E’s release and NEVER clarified until under scrutiny what the recordings were. Had Adam NOT made it on AI, HiFi wouldn’t have given him a second thought; his recordings with them have been collecting dust for nearly 5 years. His fans WILL NOT BUY IT! There are thousands of us all over the world and on his official site in agreement to that. I condemn ANYONE who badmouths Adam such as to say HE basically spit on the label. HE DID NO SUCH THING! He was gracious and mature about it. I hope their petty little label falls apart and disappears all together. By the way, Adam never came out and said he didn’t want the recordings released, he merely pointed out that he was unhappy with the fact and that they were like an unfinshed manuscript. I would like to get a hold of miss thang up there and read the rough draft of the little witchypoo finger speech she spat out and read that on the air. (Rolls eyes) People should really watch what they say about Adam on air, (DJ Whatever) or you will have your hands full of some REALLY angry Adam fans. (We are NOT a force to be reckoned with)

I will not buy this fake debut album of HiFi. Adam’s fans should not buy this album since we know that Adam is not happy with this situation.

All of us should not buy this HiFi album. Let us wait for the real debut album of Adam. This should teach HiFi and other people who do Adam injustice a lesson!
