Joshua Miller has made a great interview with Adam Lambert that has been published on Odyssey Magazine recently (not sure when, still checking).
The excerpts are below, the scanned copy is above, the full text is at the author’s website.
Q: What is the hardest to cope with?
A: The hardest part has to be maintaining my friendships. I’m so busy and I don’t want my friends to think that I’ve forgotten them. Its also difficult b/c old acquaintances now want to be my new BFF’s and it’s so obvious why. It’s flattering, but difficult to read peoples’ true motivation.
Q: How did you stay so focused (during AI?)?
A: The pressure is definitely intense, but I’ve always enjoyed feeling busy and fired up to do projects. The extra expectation helps me deliver a stronger performance. I tried not to see the show as a competition, more as an opportunity for exposure and experience. That helped keep me less intimidated.
Q: Is there one song that you have heard that you connected with on such a level that you wish you had written it?
A:“ECLIPSE” by ROBYN, heard it for the first time and wept. It reminds me of my ex and I. Also “COME HOME” by ONE REPUBLIC, made me cry as well. It was written about an army wife missing her man, but to me it meant asking for love itself to come to you.
Q: Give us 5 words that would accurately describe an Adam Lambert performance.
A: High. Fierce. Beat. Horny. Fun.

I love this interview! Finally some different and interesting questions to help us get to know the real Adam Lambert better. I can’t wait until fall when his album comes out-it’s going to be killer!

I keep bitchin about this photo of Adam too. I have some beautiful photos on my computer that could be used. I wish they would change that one. It does not do him justice. He is incredibly beautiful, and that picture makes him look like he is snearing and cocky. Why doesn’t someone change it? Don’t they read any of these blogs?

Yes, I hate seeing that picture still being used as well. He looks ghostly. He has such a fabulous smile – even his gorgeous eyes are not showing their true likeness here. Who can we write to??
(Otherwise, good questions!)

Adam, you are gorgeous, inspirational and your true friends will understand that you are exceptionally busy at this time and are not intentionally forgetting them. If they don’t, they were never true friends.
As for the acquaintances now crawling out of the woodwork, I guarantee their intentions are not pure. Be careful, cautious and polite. That’s what I would be and I am talking from experience. I’m 54 Adam, female and you take care. Great Q & A BTW.
ADAM ROCKS MY WORLD (ROCK & SEX GOD)!!!
ADAM IS PURE PERFECTION!!!
