After interviewing Adam earlier, fab magazine reacted to Adam – AMa controversy by publishing an online petition to ABC against their censorship of Adam Lambert’s AMAs performance:

ABC’S CENSORSHIP OF ADAM LAMBERT’S PERFORMANCE AT THE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS (AMA) ILLUSTRATES A DISCRIMINATORY DOUBLE STANDARD APPLIED TO GAY MEN.ABC SAYS IT GOT ONLY 1,500 COMPLAINTS FROM A TOTAL OF 14 MILLION AMA VIEWERS BUT THE STORY IN THE MAINSTREAM PRESS IS HUGE AND LAMBERT IS NOT BEING TREATED FAIRLY. LET’S SUPPORT FREEDOM OF ARTISTIC AND SEXUAL EXPRESSION BY SENDING A CLEAR MESSAGE: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

I, too, am protesting ABC’s decision to censor Adam, and cancel his performance on Good Morning America on Wednesday. It was absolute discrimination, and I am utterly DISGUSTED by what ABC did. SHAME ON THEM.

1500 people dictate what the rest of the country is allowed to see? Ask the FCC why Jerry Springer is fine on morning television, but Adam Lambert is too offensive. Ridiculous. This is my protest.

“everyone is treated equally”14th amendment why not him?…come on its discrimination. Sad. unless we get more people to sign.. it was in the 2800 when i signed…, ABC wont care. Wether you like Adam Lambert or not, stand up for rights or people.

ABC should be ashamed of itself, two girls can kiss on the VMA’s but two men kissing is censored! What a joke. This is just another pathetic attempt to suppress gay rights and equality! This will not last; gay people will get the rights they deserve! ABC, get on board now, break ground, lead the way!! Be remembered for something good, not something bad! America needs a kick up the ass and Adam’s performance was just one of the many deserved kicks! We need more proud gay men like Adam to step forward, come out and lead the way. Yes I am talking to you Mr. American Idol and Adam you just keep doing your thing, you rock, you’re hot and marry me ha! … Oh wait we can’t!! Forget it gays, shut up and keep paying your taxes! You’re not second class when your tax bill comes, ha!
