Michael Sarver about Adam Lambert: ‘I’ve learned all the great, amazing things about him’

Michael Sarver has been interviewed by Louis Peitzman from sfbg blog, published on 16th July 2009.
Some of Michael’s answers were concerning Adam Lambert and the new strong relationship they both developed during the Idol Tour.
Big respect to Michael for those words…

Michael Sarver:

During this process, the tour, where we’re all together a lot more, I’ve really begun to bond with everybody. Adam would probably be the biggest growth in relationship. It’s no secret that Adam and I are from different worlds and different backgrounds and different lifestyles. And because both of us are very open and very understanding and very loving people, we’ve embraced each other. And I’ve learned all the great, amazing things about him, and he’s learned all the things that hopefully he thinks are great and amazing about me. And I would say that the most growth in a relationship beyond the show would be Adam Lambert. He’s an amazing artist — everyone knows that part. But what they may not know is how great of a person he is behind the scenes, and that’s what I’ve come to learn. So yeah, we’re having a great time.

Lorriane – I have to 2nd that (and what a turnaround for me)! Initially, I think he had some social awkwardness. He appears to be one of the most humble, appreciative, and caring Idols on this tour. He had me at “You mess with one… you mess with us all… we are family.” And taking the time to twitter fans about bus meet/greet times, so they would not stand so long out in the heat… Two months ago I would have never said these words, but I am so very glad he made the tour and is getting good reviews too!

When he came out to meet the fans in Portland, I have to say I was struck by how genuine he seemed. I wasn’t ready to open up my heart though, not after the comments he and Gokey made regarding their “godly love”. But he has changed my mind for all the reasons relayed in the message above.

He was voted off so early that perhaps what has been obvious to us all, that Adam Lambert has the kindest most lovely spirt in the world, maybe wasn’t apparent to him.

One of my favorite quotes is from a book called” The Family of Man”

“The glory of God, ( or whatever works for you ie: Goddess, Universe, Spirit) is Man fully alive”. No one knows this better then our “boy who fell to earth”, changing one heart at a time.

It takes all kinds to make the world go around, and we are suppose to love everyone, regardless of race, sex religion, or preferences. We may not agree with everything that another person does, but somewhere deep down…there’s a common thread. I think it’s cool that these guys have reached a friendship and defend one another. That makes them all special in their own way!
