According to J. Scott G.’s blog post published on the 31th of July 2009, he both suceed to talk to Adam Lambert and as a result of this conversation, the planned release of the ‘Live The Life’ song has been postponed until further notice.
J. Scott G.:
Today, I sent Adam a text that said “Adam, out of respect for you I am not going to put the song on my podcast.” Minutes later my phone lit up. It was him. We talked for about 45 minutes. It was actually good to catch up with him. I explained my position, which he completely understood and we came to the conclusion that we’d put the song on hold for a little while, so that we could both decide the best course of action.
I’m going to send him the finished track (since he hasn’t heard it in final state). I feel SO RELIEVED you have NO IDEA. I never wanted to take advantage of his situation. The only reason I was going to go ahead and just release the song was because I hadn’t heard from him and I figured I had nothing to lose.
Great news, however the last sentences do not sound too convincing. And I’m not surprised that Scott hasn’t hear from Adam since AI, as Adam clearly has been a BIT busy…
And isn’t it quite OBVIOUS that Adam DOES NOT want any singles to be released before his RCA debut album? Does he really NEED to confirm it to every wannabe who would like to release some of his early works with Adam BEFORE RCA album?..

I think J. Scott G. has shown nothing but class. Once again, it was Adam who sought him out for the opportunity to work with him. He made the time, and they recorded the song. Then Adam made Idol, and asked him to hold the song, which he did. And now he’s finally been able to talk with Adam, and he is still accommodating Adam. Stop maligning him. He is in a business, and because he took time to work with a relatively unknown singer who subsequently was propelled to worldwide fame, he now stands to reap some incredible rewards. Good for him. I hope it is a great song.

I agree with Lola. I don’t know why anyone’s getting stuck into J Scott G over this. He made a great track with Adam and wants the world to have it. He is entitled to release it and he and Adam are entitled to reap the benefits of their hard work on it. Adam is a friend of J Scott G’s and seems to admire his work a lot. I’m sure they are happily working this out together. I see no need for this nastiness.
