I just stumbled upon your article and I love it! As a huge Adam fan and a Christian believer, I agree with the thoughts you expressed so eloquently (and with excellent good humor!) God obviously loves Adam and has blessed him mightily; I figure God can take care of anything else in his life (like you, I have plenty inside myself to be concerned with!). Jesus said we are to love one another, not judge. I may not agree with everything Adam says or does, but he is an incredible singer and one of the best live performers in the world today. Saw 5 Glamnation shows this summer (including the infamous Amsterdam show -WoW!) and I will go again in a heartbeat if the opportunity presents itself. God works in mysterious ways – thanks for reminding us.

Really great article and very well written. As Adam said “God hates Hate more than he hates Gays”. Of course only a person looking to valid their own prejudice would really beleive that God hates. God loves all his children and I can’t understand this kind of bias at all. Adam is a truly talented entertainer and a really nice guy. What more does he need to be. Thank you for this great article.

Mike, you’ve expressed yourself beautifully, with humor and sincerity … Appreciation for Adam has somehow broken down a lot of walls that previously had seemed impermeable … I’m seeing this more and more, and I just said to my husband tonight that I think Adam will do quite a bit to change people’s minds about being gay and different. In your own, small way, you’ve done that, too. Thanks!

It is people like those (Christians) that turn those on the fence away from the church! Who are they to judge others? Godly people should have love for EVERYONE! I was raised by a Mother and Father that was very narrow minded and predjustice individuals. I am greatful that I was able to learn on my own to accept people as they are unconditionally and not carry on the legacy of hate, just because someone doesn’t put their right leg in their underware first! I had a very same incident happen to me recently. A cousin- in-law said to me, “you mean you love that gay singer?” I said, “yes, I not planning to go to bed with him I just love his music and incredible talent!” They had no more to say. I can’t believe she said that to me. Her uncle is gay and was at the event with his life partner! I feel sad for people like that! She is missing some wonderful relationships with that kind of opinion!
Yes, I love Adam as my own child! I just didn’t give birth to him! He will continue to be iconic and a legend for all generations to love! Thanks for sharing this incredible article! I hope others can learn from this great perspective!

I really don’t know what to think of “Christians” like that. They are ALL such hypocrites, they use the bible and pick and choose what they want to be outraged about, it’s so disgusting. I know Kris does not feel this way, and obviously the author of this article doesn’t, so why do so many others? I wish I could understand their prejudice and why they think it’s ok to judge others. They’ve made me hate religion altogether. BTW, I know Adam will be a huge star, he’s so talented, I just love him and I always will.

Finally a voice of reason. Mike really puts it into perspective. Music is it and not sexual preferences of a person. This also showed that there are still a lot of narrow-minded / bigots out there, who would bashed a person who doesn’t share the sexual preference as the general populace. Sad too that they called themselves Christians.

I am a Catholic Christian and can’t understand why there are hardcore people like this. God is good and loves eveyrbody. No room for hate.

If you are an Adam fan, continue to love him.

This is a great article! Funny too! Kudos to Mike Collins! I cannot believe how narrow-minded people in the South are. It seriously makes me not want to live here. Where are the pictures of Adam at Brigadoon! I wanna see!!
