Twitter is a small word – and a great source of information. No doubt about it.
For some days ago, once searching for news about Adam – and the contact to other Glambert-lovers, I accidentally landed on the account of @MandyLouLambrit – a person who created the name of the most visible Adam Lambert’s fanbase in UK.
And specially for Mr-L.org she told a bit about Lambrits’ tribe:
The Lambrits – Globally
“The Lambrits” are an Adam Lambert fan group based in United Kingdom but anyone of any nationality can be a “Lambrit” – the only prerequisite is that you love Adam! There are already “Lambrits” from Canada, Denmark, Australia, Asia & United States.
The Forum
Back in January 2009, a group of like-minded people saw this dark haired, sweet individual with an amazing voice audition for American Idol singing “Bohemian Rhapsody” on American Idol. For the first time in many years, we were enthused by his star quality, his gorgeous smile & giggle, his talent, his charisma, his looks, his tight pants & especially his voice!
We needed an outlet & we all congregated on the Digital Spy American Idol Adam Lambert Appreciation Thread to discuss all things Adam related.
On the date of the final, we were nearly at 10,000 posts & the total is now around 15,000.
The Name
The name “Lambrit” came into existence in early April 2009, when one of my proudest moments is when my nomination for the name “Lambrit” was accepted. We shared & supported each other through very late nights watching the ups & downs of Adam’s journey from the early days, the bottom two & the finale. We were all gutted when he lost – although not completely surprised as we feared the US might not fully embrace someone as unique as Adam. We need not have worried his career has gone from strength to strength so far….
The Website
With the American Idol show coming to an end, we decided that we should set up a website so we could continue to celebrate & share news of Adam. Rosie Lambrit kindly stepped in and made this all happen – with the help of her “Southern Man” & lot of contributions from fellow “Lambrits”.
“The Lambrits” UK fan site was born in 18th May 2009.
Recently, a site for Adam Lambert’s Danish fans has been added as well as one for Australasia.
The Blog
I was on holiday when the finale was decided. When I returned I felt the need to share my Adam love with my fellow “Lambrits” (whether they wanted me to or not) so I started writing recording my thoughts on the Adam Love Blog. I have been kindly indulged so far.
The Challenges
Whilst the fan site is still very new, membership is growing every day and we have around 150 members, there are forums, announcements and a chat room to discuss all things Adam.
Most of us are technophobes but we are currently trying to master the intricacies of twitter so we can see what @therealGlambert does next. Our next mission is to persuade Simon Cowell & Simon Fuller to bring Adam over to the United Kingdom & Europe!!!
Best Wishes to all Adam fans out there!

Hi! Its 1:30 am in Phoenix, Az, USA, and while doing my nightly google for all things Adam I happened upon your site. So great to meet my British counterparts! I frequent the adam-lambert.org site, which is home of the Glambs, as in ‘Global lamberts’ since we get a lot of members and visitors from around the world. Check out the site-I’ll be checking our yours.
And, even though we are related through Adam, Simon cannot take him away to the British Isles-we would have another revolution, I’m afraid. Maybe later for a visit. After all, you shared the Beatles and Stones with us. I’m madly waiting for his concert which will come to Phoenix July 20th. I have tickets from and center.
So, what are all of you thnking about this new ‘surprise’ album which will come out this summer?

LOL!! you are hilarious. I will come back tomorrow to post my thoughts on the summer CD. Have to run to the doctor.
I love the idea there are Adam fans in different part of the world. This is the first official non-american Adam Lambert site that i have seen. I have to start asking Adam other fans from the Philippines to start a fan club as well. I also linked up with 2 adam fans on youtube from the Emirates. I will email them this link so they can take inspiration from this.
Thanks Lambrits! I am sure Adam will be happy with this.

Hi – Thank you for you for the nice comments & thanks to http://www.mr-l.org & http://twitter.com/MrLambertPress – it is great that there is so many of us out there – OK I will settle for a visit from Adam – it must be an extended one though! We are really unsure about the new album & wish it had been stopped & maybe issued after Adam’s RCA 19 album, which is the music which Adam wants to do now- but we want to know whether Adam earns royalties from this recording!
Anyway – cheers & check us out!
Mandy Lou

BTW, I also emailed some friends in Peru, UAE and Kuwait to start developing websites also. I shared your link to them. It would be nice if we have different fan clubs in different countries of the world. This way, when adam visits there are fans waiting for him.

Mandy Lou, I had not thought that he would receive royalties based on his statement that he was a studio session singer. Generally, they are paid for their services and relinquish any future rights. HiFi stated initially that Adam would share in the “success” of this album( not profits!). However, HiFi came out today with the following statement: copy and paste
http://mjsbigblog.com/hi-fi-ceo-says-adam-lambert-stands-to-make-a-ton-of-money-from-recordings-theres-enough-material-for-a-second-album.htm
I don’t particulary care to take the word of someone who is so obviously out for a buck off of Adam’s success. Adam has said nothing more after his original statement.
Soooo, follow the dictates of your own heart. I truly believe this is pretty much a tempest in a teapot. I don’t think it will have that much of an effect on Adam when all is said and done. And we all understand the power of the Adamaddiction! If ya gotta have, ya gotta have it!

I am still holding off purchasing at the moment – I am such a ditherer! Really pleased that they are reshowing the Michael Jackson AI show on Monday – what a lovely tribute especially Adam’s Black n White!

Me too. I posted this on adam-lambert.org
‘On another note, I am deeply saddened by the premature death today of Michael Jackson. RIP, Michael. I hope now you find peace and happiness, which seemed to elude you on earth.
The ‘King of Pop’ is dead. I believe a new king is readying to ascend the throne.’
As far as the new info on the ‘On With the Show’ Album, the song list was released today. When he saw it, Adam made a statement that he had co-written many of those songs as Demos, never thinking they would be released in an album. Want, as he indicated in his first statement, was written by someone else. The good news is you can listen for free to ‘Kiss and Tell’, ‘the Circle’ and ‘Crawl Thru Fire’ on You Tube. They’ve been on there for a long time. ‘Crawl Thru Fire’ was performed by Adam in the Zodiac Show, and is Adam at his Glam Rock best. Check it out-maybe they will be enough to hold you until Adam’s album comes out this fall.
