I’d like to remind everyone that downloading Want for free is illegal in the US.

As I have read the poll, it asks whether one has the intention to download for free, not that thay have done so.
I don’t think that you mean to suggest that Adam’s fans have done anything illegal.
I don’t know how the law views this issue in the other countries that fans come from on this site.

My text indeed indicates that fans INTEND to download it for free. Will correct it accordingly. By writing this post I would like to illustrate the reality of what are/may be the consequences of Want- release. The poll is open to any of Adam’s fans all over the world – so not country specific.
The poll is also open to ANYONE, so of course the results should be seen as a trend only.
My perception is that some fans, even if conscious about the rules, are willing to download the song for free rather than give the profit to HIFI – as a sign of the protest from their side.
The bottomline is that the results of the poll as well as general feeling would be different if fans were happy for the way ‘Want’ and the album have been released.
I hope I have clarified my point better now.
