After a while off the blog, I make my comeback to Adam news. Found this interesting comment about Adam, AMAs, Lady Gaga and more that make a lot of sense to me. Please skip it if you’ve read it already. by rhombusmag.com

Adam Lambert performed at the American Music Awards (AMAs) and managed to accomplish everything that Lady Gaga wanted to but couldn’t. More specifically, while performing his song “For Your Entertainment” Lambert kissed another man and pushed a male dancer’s face into his crotch, simulating oral sex. The moment instantly became headline news and, not surprisingly, groups like the conservative Parents’ Television Council were outraged.
As is usually the case, this controversy has only benefited Lambert. Though ABC canceled his gig on Good Morning America in response, Lambert immediately booked a performance on CBS’s The Early Show instead. More importantly, newspapers and magazines across the country have made Lambert the centerpiece of their entertainment coverage. Whether you love or loathe Lambert, his profile is higher than ever and he’ll undoubtedly sell more records.
However, Lambert’s other, somewhat more abstract reward for his AMA controversy is his new status as a fledgling gender-bending icon. It’s the kind of thing Lady Gaga wanted to be, but which her VMA performance didn’t quite deliver. In the wake of the AMAs people aren’t just talking about Lambert, they’re talking about what he represents, which is something edgier and more appealingly dangerous than most female pop stars can manage. If he isn’t exactly starting a movement, then he is definitely beginning to be remembered.

American Idol’s Adam Lambert may sing at the Academy Awards – on ABC.
Lambert’s soundtrack song “Time For Miracles,” is rumored to be up for a nomination, and that means Lambert would take the stage on national network TV, in front of a global audience once again.
Lambert, whose phenomenal voice has earned him international attention, has been on damage control since his controversial, sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards three weeks ago.
Although he has been everywhere in the media, his album sales have dropped dramatically and Lambert is trying to refashion his public image to focus on the talent, not the persona.

Talk about “Time for Miracles.”
There’s a chance Adam Lambert could end up performing that very song on the Oscars, which will air on ABC — the very network that’s banned Lambert for his raunchy on-camera behavior.
Lambert, the “American Idol” favorite, sings “Time for Miracles” on the soundtrack of the big-screen movie, “2012,” an apocalyptic, end-of-the-world thriller starring John Cusack and Danny Glover.
And while Oscar nominations won’t be announced until Feb. 22, there’s always the chance that “Time for Miracles” can get an Oscar nod — meaning Lambert could perform it on-air March 7 when ABC airs the Oscars (with co-hosts Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin).

Adam Shankman’s Twitter followers, that’s who. The Oscarcast producer last weekend solicited show-planning suggestions from his 48,000 devotees, sparking a torrent of feedback and burgeoning transparency that — according to at least one report — isn’t making the Academy terribly comfortable. But with the downmarket promise wielded by solicitations like, “So weird question; would u watch the oscars with more exitement [sic] if I cast some sytycd dancers if there are musical #s,” who wouldn’t want to see just how far the hoi polloi can influence Hollywood’s grandest show?
They’re the viewers Oscar’s courting, after all, tweeting back to Shankman en masse with replies like: “I will watch the Oscars no matter what, but my excitement factor will be ten-fold if you have SYTYCD alumns in the show. ,” “If Rob and Kristen present an award together, or even just Kristen since she wasn’t invited (rude!) last yr, I’d 4 sure watch,” and more than a few calls for a Lambert performance. The people have spoken, though good luck with that on ABC.

Yeah, it’s really fun. It kind of mixes the music you hear today with the music of the past a little bit. Just the styles of 1970′ies, rock music, garage dance, stuff you hear on the Rock Band or Guitar Hero mixed with dance music and pop music of today that we all like.

Adam Lambert:

The 70ies and the 80ies had artists that liked to play dress up and that’s something I like to do as well. I love it so much that I like to do it to present myself as an artist. I know that a lot of people haven’t seen those things before but if you go and look back at the people like David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Prince and Michael Jackson – early Michael Jackson – Boy George, Adam Ant .. the list goes on. There were a lot of guys in rock n’roll that liked to put funny costumes and put a makeup on and that was just a kind of part of their expression.

Adam Lambert:

That could be fun, yeah, if the offer came through, it was a right timing, and it was a right part – yeah, that would be really fun,
I didn’t do show quire – we was like a chamber quire, we sang like acapella, more serious pieces, it was little more like a classical quire.

Adam Lambert:

Oh gosh. I think like I hang up mostly with the quire and drama kids for the most part – that was kinda my clique. Yeah… I was so busy in the theatre and drama club, I was in extra quire and music classes so that was my social scene as well.

Adam:

Wow…aaammmm…yeah…not really either of them to be honest with you. Probably Taylor Swift – I probably picked her than Miley Cyrus. Cause from what I heard and I could be wrong Taylor does (right term stuff?) so that would be fun, maybe we could write something together.

I’m kinda split, but I have to say when I read the second book and Edward left, I was kinda at Jacob’s side. I think he was really good to her. And he loved her so much that I kinda…kinda fall for him.

Possibly, yeah. that would be crazy, I love the books!

Kris and Adam to Perform on SYTYCD

Season 8’s winner and runner-up, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert, will perform on upcoming episodes of FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance. On Wednesday, December 9 (8:00 – 9:00 PM), Kris will take the SYTYCD stage during the live results show to perform his single, “Live Like We’re Dying.” This song is Kris’ first single off his self-titled album; it has received rave reviews and is currently climbing the U.S. radio charts.
Adam Lambert will perform on the live season finale of So You Think You Can Dance on Wednesday, December 16 (8:00 – 10:00PM). He will perform his latest single, “Whataya Want From Me,” off his debut album, For Your Entertainment. This will be Adam’s first performance on FOX since the American Idol season finale in May. For Your Entertainment debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Charts with 198,469 albums sold in the first week.
