The press about Adam Lambert being single + other rumors…
Posted by MsAlex in All Adam, Blogs, Family & Friends, Gossip, Press & Media on November 6th, 2009
It started with Marcus Molinari’s aka @MDMolinari (a friend of Adam and Katy Perry) tweet about Adam Lambert being single.
Then spread on twitter.
Then the numbers of articles begin to hit the blogsphere. Here are the most important headlines:
Adam Lambert and Drake LaBry are over.
A source confirms to Usmagazine.com that the American Idol runner-up, 27, and the interior designer, 24, have ended their relationship.
“They’re still friends, and it’s totally mutual,” the source tells Us. “They will still talk and see each other.”
And there’s very little drama behind the split, the pal says. It’s all about timing — and Lambert’s on-the-launchpad career.
On the 11/3/2009 during his interview with gettyimages on the black carpet, Adam confirmed his single status:
Q: You’re enjoying a single life now…
Adam Lambert: (laughing) Yeah.
Q: Are you dating?
Adam Lambert: No, I’m working really hard right now, so …you know….
Are you keeping in touch with Drake?
Adam Lambert: Yeah, yeah, we’re good friends.
(Any dating considerations?)
Adam Lambert: No, playing solo. My date is my jacket actually (laugh). Rock and Republic
Then, next day, another article one has been published – again on US Magazine:
Adam Lambert is already on the rebound!
Three days after Usmagazine.com reported that the American Idol runner-up, 27, split from interior designer boyfriend Drake LaBry, 24, he told Us he’s “cool” being single.
In fact, when his debut album, For Your Entertainment, comes out on Nov. 23, he plans to promote not only his music, but also himself.
“I will date on tour,” Lambert told Us at the 2012 premiere in L.A. Tuesday.
The singer — who came out to the public in Rolling Stone this past June — told Us he is looking for someone who is “intelligent” and has “creativity and compassion.”
Still, he has no ill will for his ex, whom he still says is a “very good friend” after their mutual decision to end the relationship.
“I don’t really feel like there were any mistakes made,” he told Us. “I feel like things evolved. Sometimes you’re on the same page with somebody, and sometimes you have to get off that page and on to another one.”
And finally, the blogs and other ‘sources’ began to suggest that Adam’s new boyfriend is Ferras Alqaisi aka @OhFerras, with whom (among others) Adam spent his Halloween party.

So far, there is no confirmation from Adam himself nor from his friends who have been a great connectors and PR agents for him in the recent time.
As far as Adam’s fans, the majority is clearly against the press’ diving into the personal details from Adam’s life, however from another side, the buzz around his person is almost CONSTANT which in his current situation is never (?) a bad thing….

Found today an article written on the blog HollywoodIndustry.com going into details about Adam’s debut album, ‘For Your Entertainment’:
The credits on Lambert’s first album read like a list of the hottest artists in the music business. Lady Gaga, long cited as a major influence on Adam, c-wrote the track “Fever” with producer Jeff Bhasker. P!nk is a co-writer on “Whataya Want From Me,” along with Sweden’s Max Martin and Johan Shellback. Matthew Bellamy, of the British prog rock/eletronica band Muse, one of Adam’s favorite groups, wrote “Soaked.”

Adam co-wrote four of the songs on his album. In addition to “Pick U Up,” Adam penned “Strut” with Greg Wells and “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi; “Aftermath” with Alisan Porter, Ferras and Ely Rise; and “Broken Open” with Wells and Evan Bogart (whose credits include “S.O.S.” by Rihanna and “Jai Ho! Four of the tracks on “For Your Entertainment” are produced by Rob Cavallo, the A-list producer who has worked with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, David Cook, Alanis Morisette, Chris Isaak, Paramore, Jewel, Shinedown and Dave Matthews Band. Cavallo produced “Music Again,” “Soaked,” “Sure Fire Winners” and the bonus track, “Time For Miracles,” from the soundtrack to the new motion picture, “2012.”

Lyndsey Parker reviews 3 songs from Adam Lambert’s debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’
Posted by MsAlex in Blogs, Comments, Music, Press & Media on October 29th, 2009
Lyndsey Parker from the Reality Rocks blog by Yahoo.com, one of the most visible and loyal Adam’s fans at the web, has been recently (21 October 2009) invited to the RCA office in order to listen to 3 of Adam Lambert’s songs from his debut album: ‘For Your Entertainment’.
Yes, the music was THAT good, people. It was EXACTLY the extraterrestrial electro-opus I hoped and dreamed it would be.
And here is her review of the songs:
“(For Your) Entertainment” – The default title track and statement of intent, masterminded by Dr. Luke (Katy Perry) and Claude Kelly (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson), Adam opens this one up, Rocky Horror-meets-Robbie Williams-style, with the audacious declaration: “I’m here for your entertainment!” And he ain’t kidding. This is an ultra-caffeinated party-starter (imagine if Mika, Sam Sparro, and Kevin Rudolf had a threesome that resulted in the conception of a glittery alien baby…if you dare), and it’s just begging to be remixed by everyone from Calvin Harris to the Neptunes to Justice–even though it sounds like a shiz-hawt remix already, as is.
“Winners” – A slinky, sexy, salacious dance-rock grinder with a keening, near-orgasmic vocal reminiscent of Adam’s watershed “Ring Of Fire” performance, this Rob Cavallo-produced cut cracks open in the middle like a giant whitechocolatespaceegg to reveal a colossal, fist-pumping, Gary-Glittery chantalong chorus that seems lifted straight out of “We Will Rock You 2: Electric Boogaloo.” So my guess is Queen’s Brian May will be impressed by this massive masterwork, too. A winner, indeed.
“Music Again” – Okay, this is the song, also produced by Rob Cavallo, largely responsible for my current lack of coherence or composure. The minute this glammy tour de force forced its way out of the 19 Entertainment office’s speakers, it was so white-hot I was instantly reduced to a puddle of melted spandex and runny eyeliner. A falsetto gang chorus like something off a lost Sweet outtakes album, squalling guitar riffs, pumping “Funkytown” beats…my head was pretty much exploding at this point, but I managed to hold my cranium together long enough to turn to a nearby 19 employee and jokingly state, “This sounds like the Darkness, if the Darkness were remixed.” To which the employee answered, “That’s funny you say that, because this song was actually written by [legendarily unitarded Darkness frontman] Justin Hawkins, and that’s Justin on guitar.”
Ok, I would like the glammy tour de force to start. NOW!
Adam Lambert’s first single ‘What Do You Want From Me’ due to release Monday 11/2/2009!! – by ainow.org
Posted by MsAlex in Blogs, Music, Press & Media on October 27th, 2009
After a lot of speculations about Adam’s first single, AINow is writing today that they got the direct confirmation from Brian Douglas of Q102 in Cincinnati who
has confirmed that per RCA, Adam’s first single will be called “What Do You Want From Me.“ The song was written by Pink and Max Martin for Pink’s album, Funhouse. But, when the song didn’t make the cut, Pink willingly gave it to Adam. Adam says he likes this song because, “It works on a relationship level, but I also relate to the sense of talking to the public. Like, ‘This whole thing’s a little freaked out, but please have faith in me because I won’t disappoint you.”
Douglas tells AI Now that Adam’s single will be ready for a radio premiere by next Monday. However, Douglas says they are prodding Adam’s management for an earlier release date.
ATTENTION!!
Radio release for ‘What Do You Want From Me’: next Monday.
Release of Adam’s debut album ‘For your Entertainment’ November 23rd.
UPDATE:
well… ainow.org got it wrong. One day later it was clear that the first single from Adam Lambert’s debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’ will be a song written by Dr. Luke and titled also ‘For Your Entertainment’.
Now released and available on the official site of Adam Lambert, adamofficial.com.

Lyndsey Parker about Adam Lambert’s ‘Time For Miracles’ – ‘unapologetically unsubtle (…) power-balladry’
Posted by MsAlex in Blogs, Comments, Music, Press & Media on October 18th, 2009
As we all know, ‘Time For Miracles’ performed by Adam Lambert from the ’2012′ movie has been released for the lucky users of iTunes in Italy, Belgium and Netherlands and spread with the rocket speed to youtube and by now, probably all Adam’s fans know it by heart.
Lyndsey Parker from Reality Rocks blog on yahoo.com has been one of the first journalist to comment on the release – and on the song itself.
In her article published on the 17th of Oct 2009 she writes:
The song certainly has rock cred, as it was recorded by Green Day/My Chemical Romance superproducer Rob Cavallo and co-written by Alain Johannes of Eleven/Spinnerette/Queens Of The Stone Age and his late partner Natasha Shneider. But this is certainly no little hipster/indie sleeper tune, nor is it the eccentric electropop promised to be featured on Adam’s upcoming debut album.
No, “Time For Miracles” is exactly the type of song a multi-jillion-dollar action flick requires: It’s four minutes and 44 seconds of unapologetically unsubtle, over-the-top, ostentatious bombast and bluster and Bic-flicking power-balladry, a la Aerosmith’s Armageddon anthem “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” or U2′s Batman blitzkrieg “Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me,” or even Berlin’s Top Gun smash “Take My Breath Away.”
And Lyndsay also provides her own comment
Don’t worry, we’ll likely get some indie-ish electropop from Adam later. And I am definitely looking forward to hearing that side of Adam’s mulitple musical personality as well. But right now, this is certainly the way for him to start his recording career with a big BANG
Adam Lambert, ‘For Your Entertainment’ – the first single revealed
Posted by MsAlex in Blogs, Comments, Music, Press & Media, Twitter on October 29th, 2009
Ainow got it wrong. For few days ago the site claimed that the first single from Adam Lambert’s debut album ‘For Your Entertainment’ will be the song ‘What Do You Want From Me’ written by Pink, but yesterday Adam confirmed himself on twitter that the first single will be titled ‘For Your Entertainment’ and is written by Dr. Luke.

It looks like during the last week Adam decided to change the title of his song originally titled ‘Entertainment’ into ‘For YOur Entertainment’ which will be automatically the leading tune matching with the title of the album.
Lyndsey Parker had the opportunity to hear to this song earlier this week and this is what she has written on her blog, Reality Rocks by yahoo.com.
“( For Your) Entertainment” -
