ATTENTION! FALSE GOSSIP: Adam Lambert (NOT!) yelling at fans in Tacoma – National Enquirer/celebrifi.com should apologize
Posted by MsAlex in All Adam, American Idol 8, Gossip, Idol 8 Tour, July 2009, Tacoma on July 31st, 2009
At the celebrifi.com site on 29th of July we are reading the story written by Mike Disciullo about Adam Lambert yelling at fans in Tacoma.
The story is proven FALSE and I guess it is unfortunately another pointless try to confirm Adam’s ‘diva’ attitude. The story bases on the gossip from National Enquirer.
UPDATE: after publishing this story I have experienced strong reaction from the Adam Lambert’s fans and also got to know that the story has been proven false by some heroic Adam Lambert’s fans.
Additionally, Examiner.com – which also reported about this story – has written a public apology for spreading this false gossip. You can read about it under this link ( where you also can find a huge list of Adam- related articles written by the author. Yay!!)
Thanks to all of you who updated me about it. The reason why I brought this up was the principle of this site which is the assumption that ALL the media entries about Adam Lambert should have a place here, no matter if they are facts or false gossips.
Since we – as Adam’s fans – should be aware of them and fight against them, if needed.
I hope you get my point.
So I apologize in case you may have had an impression that I am – in line with the ‘gossipers’ chasing the infamous clicks.
And please – for gawwd sake – let me know anytime anything similar to that story is going on aroud Adam – I will appreciate it a lot and hopefully be helpful in support the actions!
Thanks!

“I was forced to go to last night’s show under much begging from my sister. She was sent out of town for a meeting and had plans with her daugher to see this show. I was begged to step in and take my niece. Being the good aunt I said yes. Just as I imagined it was sheer torture. There was singer after singer either off pitch, or just plan old mediocre. Just when I couldn’t take any more and was willing to risk being called the bad aunt – one Adam Lambert stepped on the stage. My, oh my. Wow, is all I can say. I have never seen that much sexual energy on the stage. I almost felt like covering my nieces eyes but I was like a deer caught in the head lights and couldn’t move. My mind turned to mush. I am still entranced. After I got home I immediately turned on the computer and googled everything that is Adam Lambert. Despite the fact I had to be up early today I stayed up most of the night. The combination of raw sex appeal and this incredible vocal gift makes for one exciting performer.

I’m glad they didn’t end the show with him I would probably be still sitting at the Dome thunderstruck. That last performer they had on – don’t know his name – was like a tranquilizer and I was able to pull myself together. It was such an odd show because Adam Lambert was so out of place. It would be like having a golf tournament with Tiger Woods except all his competitors are kindergartners.”

Tacoma – Adam experience at meet & greet – kinda scary :=(
We were waiting outside in the dark for Adam to arrive for the signing. All the other Idols have been by at this point but no Adam. The entire crowd stayed and waited. I was near the front of the line where the entrance the Idols come out from. However, someone spotted Adam at the other end of the line. The line at this point stretched the entire length of the Tacoma Dome. So we settled in to wait. No problem.
However, when Adam wasn’t even half the way down the line, the handler for AI came out and announced ‘five more mins.’
I was in the front row next to the guard rail. There was a sea of people tightly packed in behind me. They were pushy and aggressive all night. (Well, that’s to be expected, I guess.)
When it was announced ‘five more mins.’, I heard a low mummer start of threats to turn into a riot. I realize that I have had a chance to have a picture with Adam on my Portland meet & greet. However, for some if not most of the people behind me, it might be there one and only chance to see him up close and ask for an autograph.
I felt the crowd pushing in on me and I started to get scared. The entire sea of people behind began to loudly chant ADAM ADAM ADAM. The crowd was shifting and kept pushing. I heard more threats of a mob scene. I felt trapped. I had an instant thought of the crowd pushing so hard that the guard rail would go down and I would get trampled. (Maybe that’s a worse case scenario, but that’s the thought that goes through my mind at that moment.)
Fortunately, Adam was (practically) pushed, pulled along by the handlers the entire length of the line. He quickly scribbled his sig a few times but was unable to speak to anyone. At least it dispelled the riot talk behind me.
After Adam was gone, the meet & greet was over. Instead of happy people discussing their encounter with Adam, as it was at Portland, there seemed to be a lot of people shocked into silence with disappointment.
I don’t know how this can be addressed for future shows, but something needs to happen when they have an Idol as popular as Adam.

Notes from the Tacoma show, July 7 2009
It’s 1:00 in the morning. I’m totally exhausted, but just want to say – Adam was absolutely incredible. The crowd screamed the loudest and longest for him every time his picture came up on the jumbo screens before the concert started, and when Gokey’s set ended and the stage went dark – I thought the screams would take the roof off the Dome.
He was powerful, smooth and amazing. He sang with fierceness and passion and confidence and tenderness. I’ sure the whole performance will be on You Tube soon, so I won’t repeat every single detail. When he shimmied out of his AMAZING studded jacket during as “Fame” started, I thought I would die. He danced and stalked the stage pretty much nonstop through “Fame” and “Let’s Dance.” The man’s pelvis is on ball bearings. He saunters. Every inch of him was glittery and sparkly – he had sparkles on his boots, sparkly mesh on the patches of his ripped pants, sparkles all over his vest, on his fingerless gloves….
Very powerful stuff when his set ends and the elevator sinks him down into the floor – he had his fist raised in the air, so that’s the last you see as the fog swirls (til he comes back later for Don’t Stop Believin’)
I got to meet him for a whole five seconds after the show. His handlers were hurrying him along (I really don’t understand why – Sarver took his sweet old time and half the Idols still hadn’t even come out yet) and wouldn’t allow Adam to pose with fans – but since I didn’t know that, the woman next to me had my camera awaiting this moment, and she took a picture of him looking right at me as I talked to him (for my five seconds), and him thanking me. I have posted the picture below and it’s my new avatar – thanks to those of you who helped me figure out how. I put that look on the Dark Lord’s face. Me. That look was for me. For five seconds, I was the only woman in his world. I have since heard that the line I was in stretched all the way around the Tacoma Dome and that many, many people didn’t get a chance. I am blessed and so lucky. Geez, only a 12-hour ordeal (I was there early afternoon) to get five seconds with him, sigh.
So this was what I said to him when he was mine, all mine, for those brief moments: “Adam, congratulations on all of this. You so totally deserve it….and you were FIERCE tonight.” He looked right into my soul and said “Aww, thank you.” Signed my Rolling Stone and he was gone.
I have to tell you ladies – the experience of looking into his eyes and saying his name has totally rocked my world. It cannot be put into words.
He is very tall, he is very very kind, and he is absolutely insanely beautiful up close.
Mssr. Lambert. You are, indeed, a rock star – by The News Tribune, Tacoma

This relation from the 2nd concert of Idol Tour 8 in Tacoma has been made by the local newspaper, The News Tribune.
The author was Ernest Jasmin and it has been puclished at the 8th of July 2009.
Below the excerpts about Adam:
A point of disclosure: I’m not the biggest “American Idol” fan. (…) But I must confess that, as jaded as I am, I may have caught just a smidge of Lambert mania Tuesday night.
(…) I was sequestered by the T-Dome’s security office with the other photogs during the early part of Lambert’s set, and could just make out a muffled cover of Tears for Fears’ “Mad World.” Then the tour publicist lead us out into the arena just in time to catch the charismatic crooner downshifting from a a fiery rendition of Foghat’s “Slow Ride” into an medley of Bowie classics that went from operatic (the always awesome “Life on Mars?”) to slinky and funky. Fans screamed louder than they had all night as Lambert shed his jacket and gyrated his way through a Minneapolis funk-infused version of “Let’s Dance,” before sinking back into the stage.
Very impressive range, Mssr. Lambert. You are, indeed, a rock star. I’m actually looking forward to hearing what you come up with on that album you said you’re cutting later this year. All that Bowie suggest you’ll follow through on the promise to go glammy you gave during your recent Rolling Stone interview.
Lambert was the night’s biggest star. (…)
