Westboro Church’s homophobic offenders of Adam Lambert – fans’ reactions

23wtd90

The above is the immediate reaction of a fan inspired by Adam’s words sent on twitter yesterday commenting the protesters from the antisemitic and homophobic Westboro Church and their actions against him on the IdolTour.

The original message is below:

Please find also the fragment of the interview made on the 18th of July 2009 where Adam was interviewed in San Diego and asked about the protesters. His message was clear:

It is worth noticing that the reaction on fans on twitter as well as on the forum boards was immediate and the keywords (initiated by ondt_ai), #Godhateshate went quickly at the first position among the trending twitter topics.

‘Adam Lambert was easily the night’s most substantial artist’ – by KansasCity.com

KansasCity.com made an article about the IdolTour concert that found place yesterday – in Kansas City.
As usually, Adam gets the best reviews:

Not only was Adam Lambert the clear crowd favorite, he was easily the night’s most substantial artist. He isn’t merely good by the often dubious standards of American Idol. Lambert’s imaginative interpretations of unlikely material were brilliant. His powerful voice seemed to shake the rafters during Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.” He also deftly covered songs by Muse, Tears For Fears and David Bowie.
Lambert may have been a crowd-pleaser inside the arena, but he received a far less welcoming reception before the show. A small group of hatemongers mocked Lambert (he’s openly gay), the late Ted Kennedy and the whole of the United States as they protested across Grand Boulevard.

Westboro signs outside American Idol Tour concert – video, photos and interview with the demonstrants

Thanks to @craigxxxchurch for making this pics and videos and to @glam_rock_chik for the update…
Simply don’t know what to say – as it was hard for me to imagine that those people actually mean it. Now I know. And I’m shocked….

P.S. Adam, in case you read it: the ocean of positive thoughts is with you.

‘It was hard to take your eyes off Lambert’ – Idol Tour review by stltoday.com

After the Idol Tour concert in St Louis, Missouri on the 29th August 2009, Sant Louis Today made a review of the show. Adam made definitely the best impression on the author…

After watching the latest “American Idols Live” tour play out at a packed Scottrade Center on Saturday night, it’s still impossible to fathom Kris Allen’s winning over Adam Lambert.
Then again, the wholesome Allen doesn’t sport black fingernail polish and eyeliner, and wasn’t itching to announce he was gay, something that for Lambert probably cost him the title.
Nonetheless, it was Lambert, not Allen, with all the star power during Saturday night’s show, bringing to town all the swagger and style we saw Lambert exhibit on the telecast.
Lambert, decked out in his usual Goth-inspired attire, was electric on Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love,” pure feline on David Bowie’s “Fame,” and poignant on Tears for Fears’ “Mad World.” Fellow finalist Allison Iraheta joined him for Foghat’s “Slow Ride,” though it was hard to take your eyes off Lambert.

Runner up Adam Lambert stole the show – Idol Tour review by The Knight News

The Knight News’ Markos Papadatos made the review from the Idol Tour concert that found place Aug. 11 as part of the American Idols LIVE! Tour 2009 at the Nassau Coliseum in New York. Published today.

Adam-part is cited below:

Runner up Adam Lambert stole the show. He opened with Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love,” showing off his fiery rock and roll vocals. Lambert went on to deliver a tender and soothing performance of Muse’s “Starlight,” showcasing his versatility as an artist. His rendition of Gary Jules’ “Mad World” was the single best vocal performance of the entire evening: controlled, nostalgic and powerful. Iraheta joined Lambert on their rocking collaboration of “Slow Ride” and his medley of David Bowie songs was a fitting conclusion to his set. Lambert’s stage presence, charisma and passion for music and performing distinguished him from other finalists, and he had the crowd with him every step of the way.
