Attn: Adam Lambert Fans (About the November 25,2009 concert)
The Adam Lambert Concert on Good Morning America at the Hudson Theatre has been officially cancelled. It is not necessary to come to the theatre because it will be closed. Thank you for your interest in the show and Adam Lambert. We look forward to your attendance at future events.
Samantha Green / Audience Coordinator

According to broadwayworld.com, the reason for cancelling the concert is directly connected with the fact that the television network abc received complains about Adam Lambert’s AMAs performance on Sunday 11/22/2009:

According to a Good Morning America audience coordinator, Adam Lambert’s highly anticipated free concert in New York City tomorrow, November 25, has been cancelled due to thousands of complaints from viewers over his recent sexually explicit American Music Awards performance on Sunday. The concert was to be part of Good Morning America’s “Fall Concert Series.”
The concert was to have taken place at the Hudson Theatre on 44th Street, for upwards of 700 fans, to be aired on Good Morning America tomorrow morning.
During the controversial American Music Awards performance, Lambert kissed his male keyboard player on one occasion, and rubbed another male dancer’s face in his crotch on another, drawing thousands of complaints to ABC, which broadcast the awards event.
The Good Morning America concert was scheduled as a promotional event for his new album For Your Entertainment, which dropped yesterday.

But the recent tweet from Tommy Joe Ratliff, the guitarist from Adam’s band, indicates that the GMA performance will take place despite the above:

And he corrected his earlier mistake:

So the bottom line so far is: Adam is on the Early Show tomorrow!! and #ShameOnYouABC

Last count for the number of complaints ABC received regarding Adam’s AMA performance was 1500 and the viewers total approximately 15 million. That is like 1% of the viewing audience, that is such a small number and for them to cancelled Adam Lambert’s upcoming appearance on GMA is a load of bullshit, plain & simple.

Hurry! we have to outnumber the complaints! I just went to the ABC-GMA site and filed a complaint . I said I would boycott that station if Adam isn’t on. I mean forever, and I told them so. We are Adam’s fans, we outnumber those narrow-minded control freaks. We can’t let a few loud-mouthed bigots destroy the career of one of the greatest performers of this generation! If they had there way we would not have the music of Elvis or the beatles!

I’ve cooled down alittle bit, and now I’m reading Adam’s concert is back on. I HOPE THIS IS TRUE! Because if it is’nt true I’m going to start filing more complaints. How do we know for sure? I wonder if ABC will put out a statement?

Yes, shame on you ABC–bowing to a little right-wing pressure. You know Mr. Lambert is performing a different song, but you’re too afraid to risk a little controversy. You also know what a superb interviewee this young man is, but now CBS has him. Obviously a more courageous, up-to-date network and a better place for him. You should hope he doesn’t hold grudges when you next want a ratings boost!!! AMA’s ratings were huge and who capitalizes on that fact?!

PLEASE boycott ABC by switching channels and buying NOTHING from their sponsors!
