EW.com made 6 (six) photos with Adam last week during his session with producer Rob Cavallo at L.A.’s historic Capitol Studios.

Below some gold thoughts made by Adam for EW.com.

Capital Studios

”I love the energy here”

Sound on his debut album

”I don’t think an album has to have one sound. I think once you’ve already established yourself with the public, you have more of an opportunity to take some chances and create more of an eclectic collection. I think my album’s gonna do that.”

”I told the producers, ‘Look, I wanna do music that’s very rooted in classic rock as far as the melodies, the guitars, and the vocal energy. But then I really wanna overlay a lot of dance-y, synth-y, futuristic stuff on top of it.”

His mission

”I wanna rock; I want people to dance, I want people to cry, I want people to smile and laugh. And I wanna play dress-up!”

Songs written by himself

”There’s also a handful of songs I helped write that are really close to me. They’re not quite as obviously commercial; they’re a little bit more esoteric.”

His music style

”I don’t like boxing myself into a genre. But if I had to pick one major style, the classic rock stuff is where I was most comfortable on the show. Or at least that’s what people saw me as the most.”

Thankyou for welcoming me back. All of these posts are so interesting. I am very excited about Adam’s cd. Listening to the previews of the songs I am blown away by the variety of music that has been produced. Adam is truly a unique talent. I was a teenager in the fifties and I think Adam is more exciting than Elvis. Love Time Fore Miracles and For Your Entertainment. Looking forward to seeing him on tour next year.Gale Hunter,Burlington,Ontario,Canada.
